Heather Niven
Heather Niven wants to believe that fairies
live at the bottom of everyone's garden. However, the evidence of her senses
tells her that the world is a far more wonderful and terrible place to allow
that to happen. Whilst remaining remarkably sane, (for an artist) her major
preoccupation with reality is where beauty and pain meet, which allows the
making of her work to become a celebration of the diversity of humanity and
the conditions they find themselves in. In an attempt to achieve this she
uses paint, clay, wood or anything else in the kitchen which isn't otherwise
employed at the time.
She hopes you like her work, if for no other
reason than it costs her something emotionally to make.
